The Secret Cinema

I’ve not been to the Secret Cinema before, but nothing will stop me from attending each performance from now on. Probably one of the most original and exciting events I’ve ever been to in London, it was absolutely incredible. As you are unaware of what film you are attending it is an utterly magical experience to suddenly find yourself in post war Vienna, encountering criminals on the run, forlorn women and perplexed americans. Here is a couple of snaps:

I recently moved to Clapton and have been loving the local Graffiti it reminds me of Blu but with more colour, I’m not sure who the artist is but i’m a big fan and will keep an eye out for more.

I’ve not caught any Autumn Winter looks on the street as I have had a mini hibernation so I was delighted when I saw this frosted fancy!

Print on Film

Picking some of my top films and combing them for the printed treats that make them so visually stimulating! Some films are so well considered and beautifully framed that everything comes together in the most inspiring way.

Edward Scissor Hands is filled with amazing prints both on the people and their surroundings, the colour palette is also unique with every house and car in a pastel shade, in short an awesome movie for visual delights!

The best site around for following global stylistas as they chart their fashion odysseys, I love this look by Vintage Virgin, who has a quirky, all-american style.

Emma Shipley

The MA shows were a while ago now but I’ve been meaning to mention this girls work as it is utterly luscious and I was blown away by it at the RCA show. You can see more of her work here: emmajshipley.com.
